| Whether or not the federal government is prepared for it, there is a continued cross-sector IT commodities revolution underway. This revolution pushes for better and wider use of the current technology, rather than continuing to invest in new, complex programs on the same scale as before. This global trend is perfectly justifiable because the existing systems and technologies have considerable built-in capabilities, data, process and standards know-how, as well as institutional memory on the organizations for which they were developed. | |
