Steven P. Bucci
IBM’s Lead for Cyber, IBM Public Sector

Dr. Steven P. Bucci, PhD, is IBM’s Lead for Cyber, in IBM Public Sector and brings more than 30 years of leadership at the highest levels of the federal government and is a recognized expert in the interplay of the government and private sector in Homeland Security. He has served as the Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld from July 2001, during the 9/11 attacks, and the War on Terrorism, He was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Homeland Defense and Defense Support for Civil Authorities 2007-2008, overseeing policy involving the Defense Domains, National Guard operational issues, domestic Terrorism, and response to natural disasters, acting as the primary civilian oversight of U.S. Northern Command. Bucci helped lead DoD’s response to growing cyber threats. Bucci also is an adjunct professor at George Mason University and Long Island University.
